WHERE DID U GROW UP AND WHERE DID YOU have YOUR BASIC EDUCATION?
I was born in Nigeria and attended Madonna Secondary School. Immediately after I graduated, I joined my parents in the United States where I studied Biochemistry at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana USA. I then did my Master’s degree in Public Health, with focus on Healthcare Management & Quality Improvement at Louisiana State University Health Sciences, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
WHAT MADE YOU ENTER THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY?
My interest in Beauty industry dates to when I lived with my grandmother, and we made our own body oils. I became self-aware and took self-care very seriously. I take it as a duty to care for my skin because the skin that isn’t taken care of gets dry and subsequently age faster. I always wanted to keep my youthful looks as I aged. I also love how makeup makes me feel so after I take care of my skin, I apply some makeup.
HOW DID LOTOVE COSMETICS START AND WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO CREATE YOUR PRODUCT LINE REGARDLESS OF THE HUGE SELECTION OF COSMETICS IN THE MARKET?
I wanted to encourage people to take care of their skin with a simple two-step process. I know some people don’t know where to start or are sometimes discouraged by the list of products they need to apply to see results.

Lotove Cosmetics is created by a US trained Public Health Biochemist who deeply cares that people get the best products that is Safe and effective.

Because of my master’s degree level training in Quality improvement, I always put quality & safety First; making sure that my customers are receiving products made with utmost care. I also ensure my products are formulated with potent ingredients and are always well within safe limits.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR LOTOVE COSMETICS?
We want every household to have some Lotove products as part of their skincare regimen. In summary we want Lotove to keep growing that every household knows about it.

Rejuvenate Oil: Resolves inflammation (pain and swelling) caused by shaving or ingrown hairs. Combats bumps & itching. Men can use Rejuvenate in place of Aftershave. Aftershaves, especially alcohol-based ones can cause pains but Rejuvenate made from a unique natural blend of potent herbs provides and instant soothing, calming and pain reliving effect on abrasions or bumps that comes with shaving. Women can use it after shaving their armpit or leg to stop inflammation before using Deodorant. Kids can use it if they have itchy skin or have a haircut or have insect bites.
Diamond Glow Oil: This helps to get rid of pimples, acne, wrinkles and other blemishes without clogging your pores. It will quickly become your favorite because of its ability to make the skin look healthy and young. It is made from pure saffron and other unique Ayurvedic ingredients that are important for glowing skin and evening skin tones.
African Black Soap: Extra rich liquid black soap plus Kojic can be used to completely HALT Acne Breakouts and Remove Acne Scars. It can be used to relieve eczema, acne, dark spots, psoriasis, razor bumps and other skin problems. Having used African Black Soap for a while and seen the amazing benefit, I decided to add it to my line and modified it to get even more results. It also exfoliates and is an excellent makeup remover.
WHAT have been your BIGGEST CHALLENGES IN CREATING THESE PRODUCTS?
The most challenging aspect of developing skincare products is the formulation. The formulation determines the efficacy and safety profile of a product and is the reason people will prefer a particular brand of skincare products. Though challenging, turns out to be what makes Lotove products stand out in the market as they were formulated by experts in the biochemical, medical and public health fields.

A lot of people dive into using lots of products and sometimes forget to exfoliate or use scrubs. No matter any skincare routine you are following, you need to exfoliate to remove dirt covering your pores so that whatever you are rubbing can work. Using a face mask or scrub once a week or once in 2 weeks is ideal.
